Infineon Technologies offers a comprehensive range of LED driver solutions characterized by cost effectiveness and robustness meeting the evolving and expanding requirements of LED lighting applications. 

Low cost BCR 40x, and BCR 450 LED driver for General Lighting applications: The BCR 40x family targets low-current LED lighting applications like channel letter for neon bulb replacement, light strips for decorative and mood lighting, cooling shelves in supermarkets and jewellery display case lighting, truck turn lights and side markers. The BCR 450, with additional features like over-current and overvoltage protection as well as a thermal LED protection, is designed for high current applications. With an external booster transistor currents from 100mA up to 2A can be realized. Sweet-spot applications are Street lighting and EMI sensitive applications like cabin lighting in aircrafts.

The new BCR 32x/BCR 42x linear drivers with a maximum output current of 250mA are specifically designed for 0.5W LED applications. Available in small 6-pin SC74 package as well as the thermally enhanced SOT223 package, these drivers support the small size of 0.5W LEDs as well as eliminating the need of external components like coils and inductors, saving PCB area in these space constraining applications.

The ILD 4001, ILD 4035, ILD 4120, ILD 5085 are DC/DC buck LED driver ICs for general and industrial LED lighting applications providing a fixed output current of 350mA, 1200mA, 1800mA and a flexible output current of up to 5A (ILD4001 with an external MOSFET). Over-current, overvoltage and a thermal LED protection ensure longer lifetime of the application. The analog dimming function provides a unique feature, important for a faster adoption of LEDs in general lighting applications.

Robust linear LED driver ICs with integrated diagnostic functions: Automotive qualified with a comprehensive range of protection features. Designed to drive LEDs with constant currents from 70mA (TLE 4240-3, TLE 4241, TLD 1211) up to 500mA (TLE 4242G).

High-current DC/DC switched LED driver ICs: The automotive qualified, high integrated DC/DC buck regulator TLD 5085 can drive constant currents up to 1800mA at a maximum supply voltage of 45V. For applications exceeding the 45V voltage range, the TLE 6389-2GV is offering a maximum voltage & current rating of 60V/2300mA.

Low- & high side switches for LED-lighting with diagnostics: Broad low- & high side power-switches portfolio with protection and diagnostics, ranging from single channel devices (PROFET™) to SPI-bus controlled multichannel switches (SPIDER & SPOC), suitable to drive bulbs and LEDs in various automotive and industrial applications
