Belgian lighting manufacturer Modular Lighting Instruments continues to expand its North American offerings with the official launch of its Smart 4.5 driver extensions. Compatible with Lutron Electronics, the leader in smart, scalable lighting control solutions, the driver extensions take Smart 4.5 to the next level. The addition of smart lighting capabilities allows near-infinite modes of lighting expressions, which include high-performance dimming.
Modular Lighting Instruments offers two types of Lutron drivers: Hi-lume 1% 2-wire is a high-performance LED driver that provides smooth, continuous, flicker free dimming to 1%; and Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem LED Drivers with digital control for LEDs that provides addressing of individual fixtures and status feedback from the LED drivers. Fit for a myriad of applications including high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial interiors, Smart 4.5 can be specified for both IC and non-IC housing options.
Modular Lighting Instruments has partnered with Lutron in the past as part of the business’ OEM Advantage Program, which is designed to help manufacturers increase the specifications of luminaires embedded with Lutron technology. In December 2019, Modular Lighting Instruments launched its Smart 1.9 recessed fixture that is compatible with Lutron drivers.
